It was a real party at the recent EME 2026 event in Lingen, Germany!
All the painted soldiers came out of the crate,
and number 850 was ready just in time.
And it was awesome to see them all together.
The ultimate goal is 1,000 soldiers,
so we only have 150 left to go
I try to get a round number of painted Romans every year for this event:
2023: 500
2024: 600
2025: 700
2026: 850
When I reach the 1.000 I'm going to build a diorama on my long term project.
All 850 of them posed for the camera, and a lot of photos were taken.
It was a fantastic weekend;
I managed to sell a lot of duplicate Asterix figures,
but I also got a whole bunch of new soldiers.
The diorama will get 1,000 of them, and I’ll just put the rest
on display again because they’re so photogenic.
