Abraracourcix

Once again I did paint Abraracourcix, the chief of the small village at the coast.
Because I run out of the 28mm metal figures, I tought back at the time
I was a joung boy, in that time (around 1970 - 1975)
you could buy chewing gum wit a plastic Asterix figure

These figures are plastic, scale around 35mm, and available in various colors.
For the older readers this must bring back memories!
So now I ask everyone to look at there attic.
And I recieved from friends the first numbers.

Despite being less detailed, these are fun to paint.
And giving these figures colors, makes a big difference

So a new set of guys are ready to be painted at my paintdesk!
I hope you like this as much as I do!

And if you have any of these figures lying around, feel free to send them to me!

I didn't remember those "toys" (but they were so much when we were young !!).
Very good and clean paint job!
it's fun to paint figures without shadows etc... I've paint some "schmulpfe" / "shmurfes" for my daughters and her scouts friends some time ago ...

  6. Great job done Remco! Never seen these figures, but they do look much better painted!

PS: I've seen the metal ones at the meeting in Mol. They are for sale again and I think the guy will be at CRISIS in Antwerpen.

    Greetings
