Romain soldier

For my future diorama I need a whole bunch of Roman soldiers,
I have decided to paint them all a bit different.

As you can see I did on this one the leather parts under his amor,
also with metallic paint, just because it looks nice.

These Romans are so nice to paint, I hope to find more...
(I need more, so if you got one somewhere.....)

And again a monthly post,
let's hope your'e not sick
of all the Asterix figures
from the bubblegum range!

Decanus

And another Romain officer comes a life...

This guy has the nice task to sent the legionairs to the Gauls...
And it looks he doesn't know who is is up against...
He looks so happy, maybe he is just promoted?

Another nice figure, what was a joy to paint.
The details look perfect with some colors on it...

I did use the colors like in the Asterix albums, with a little bit of my own fantasy.
But he looks much nicer than the yellow figure he was before:

And yes, he is also from the Asterix bubblegum range from the '70.
Sorry, but I just love them...
So more will follow!

Cleopatra's Taster

From the Asterix comic album "Asterix and Cleopatra":
this month the food taster himself!

He isn't what I got in mind, the paintjob is not to my satisfaction.
And I am not sure about his tongue as well.
But he will look good between the others in my future project!

Anyhow he looks quite like on the original from the comic book:

This guy was green before I painted him,
and yes also from the bubble gum Asterix range from the 70ths

Caius Spiritus

This month the Roman Governor in Londinium
called Caius Spiritus
from the album Asterix in Great Britan

his goal is to stop the magic drink
get in to the UK

The figure is full of detail and fun to paint I must say
As you already know, also from the bubblegum series from the '70

Before painting, this guy was all bleu.
Hope you like him!!!

Another Gaul

This month again a Asterix figure from the bubblegum range.
yeah I know.. again...
but for making a (long term) diorama I just need more...

I did pick out this one, and to be honest I really don't know who he is.

So I gave him a few colors who will be wrong I am for sure...

But he will fit with the others, so thats fine by me.

Asterix

This month one of the main figures of the comic book Asterx & Obelix
Yes it is me....

The small smart guy, with his bottle powerdrink.
We all know this little guy I presume.

This is also one of the plastic '70 Bubblegumseries figures.
Before panting this guy, he was a red one.

And putting some paint on him, also Asterix came to life!
Lets hope you like him!

Abraracourcix and his shieldbearers

This mont someone who has been painted before...

The chief of the Asterix village called Abraracourcix
(yes I painted a second one)

But also his shield and the two shieldbearers

Together they make the scene complete

These figures are also from the '70th bubblegum series,
and I am not sure Abraracourcix is from the same set,
cause there are 2 different sizes sets.
But it looks cool in my opinion.

Hope you like them!

Nappies

This month something different:
On Bennosfiguresforum my good friend Jan
asked members to join a groupbuild for
because of the 200th anniversary of the Waterloo battle.
This project will be shown on FIGZ 2015!
And because I organize FIGZ, I took part on it as well.
So I choose the Dutch Belgian Light Dragoons from Hät

2 Horses and 2 Nappies an a uniforminfo was my start

First I had to base them, auch this must hurt...

Then the painting started, and I can tell you, these will be my last 20 mm Nappies
I didn't like it at all to paint them, what a hell of a paintjob.
Still not satisfied, but have to send them to Jan now.
Now I am curious to see the total scene in June.

Well this is my contribution:

And the other one:

Together they look already like a small army:
